It’s Eve’s introduction of reparative reading and her encouragement to practice it that seems most relevant for us right now, not her critique of conventional queer theory postures.)

Week 5: November 18 (tentative) Melanie Klein, “Early Stages of the Oedipus Conflict,” “The Importance of Symbol Formation in the Development of the Ego,” and “A Study of Envy and Gratitude”

Week 6: December 9 Michael Balint, The Basic Fault
